Well, Alie's party went great...I just have to get the pics posted for you! I'll tell all about it once I can get them uploaded.

Today (10.15.03) is Alison's first birthday. We went to visit the doctor for her one year check up. She got 2 shots, but hardly even cried. We also went to my old work place and visited with old friends as well as invite most of them to her party. We are having her party on Saturday. I am so anxious to see how she will react to the whole thing. I hope she loves the whole day. It will be her first time to eat cake! I bet she will love it!

I took some pictures of her today, to document her special day. I am also including one of her at 6 mo. to get a comparison on how much she has grown. If you click on the picture, it will take to you an album of more pictures.

Oh, I forgot to post earlier this week about some of Alie's "first"... Sunday she got to ride in her big girl carseat facing foward. I think she really liked this, because she could see what was going on around her. She could also see me in the mirror and thought that was really great. She also went to the nursery at church for the first time. I thought she would have some detachment issues, ok, maybe I was hoping more than anything. :) She did really well though, not crying once. I think she was so focused on all the new things around her, that she didn't even realize mommy wasn't there. I am so very proud of her. I just love my little pumpkin head to pieces!!!

Alie finally got another tooth. She now has a total of 7. It broke through a few days ago, but you couldn't really see it till now. It is on the bottom row, next to the middle 2.

She is also starting to get more comfortable standing alone. It is funny, because she won't attempt to take steps, just stands there, then sits down.

She won't say any words yet even though we work with her on it every day. I know she isn't slow, but I think her brain is hard at work developing other areas. She is amazing at her electronics comprehension. She can work the phone, her stereo, tv, and the keyboard. It can be annoying at times, but it is fun to watch her hard at work.

She still is just a wonderful baby. So patient, calm, loving, and affectionate. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I am sorry I haven't written in a long while or posted any new pictures. I don't have batteries for my dig. camera, so I haven't been taking pictures. Alison's progression is still about the same. She can't speak any words yet, but she can eat like a toddler. She is now eating big kid food, and cleaning our plates for us. Funny thing is, she is still not able to feed herself very well. We are practicing letting her feed herself, but most of her food ends up in her lap. Oh well. I am proud of her though. She ate rasins for the first time today. She loved them, and even threw a fit when I put them away. Oh, I almost forgot, Alison now has a total of 6 teeth. Four on the top and two on the bottom.

Another bit of news... I am a stay home mom now. This really makes life easier. I will be able to help Alison in her progression much more now. Hopefully I can make a genius out of her, muaahaha!

Yesterday Alison clapped for the first time. She was watching her "Hello Kitty" movies and she gets so excited when they come on. Even though she can't sing, I know she recognizes each song. Well, she was really into the music and started clapping to it. It was so cute!!! I got all excited because she was clapping, so I started laughing. This made her start laughing and clapping even more. Gosh she is just too darn cute for words.

Alison is now 9 mo. and has 4 teeth. She really likes to use them too. She is now eating some solid, big people foods. She is also pulling herself up to a stand. She will stand there, with both feet on top of each other. She is a bit pigeon-toed. It is too cute! She will also lift one leg up high to practice standing on one foot at a time. She will even walk along the coffee table, or if you are sitting close, she will let go and turn around toward you as if she is going to walk. She ends up free falling, but luckly, I always catch her. She is going to be walking sooner than Kriss would like. We will have one nervous Daddy! He always gets freaked out about her falling and such. Poor baby will probably have Daddy hovering around all her life, hehe.
