the beating of your heart :D
One more funny from Alie...
I asked her what her heart says. She put her hand over her heart and said "Hicky Honk!!!" I have no idea where she got that from, but she has replied with that answer a few times today. Plus, she says it so casually, like it's a fact.
Cracks me up!!!

I had a really horrible night with Alie on Sunday. I went to bed at 4am, insomnia got the best of me. Then apparently after I passed out, Kriss accidentally woke Alie up when he was getting ready for work. So he put her in bed with me. She kept rolling around and moving, so woke me up at about 5am. I asked her what her problem was and she replied "This pillow is too hard."
I put her back in her bed, since it had better pillows. ;) Then she proceeded to yell or fake cry every 20 minutes. I went in there, trying to talk her into sleeping. She told me she wanted to get up (at 6am) and watch cartoons. I told her that because it was still dark out, that the cartoons were still asleep, they weren't on yet. She looked at me and told me matter-of-factually "Cartoons don't have a bed!!" She did eventually go to sleep, at 7 am.
Anyway, random funny things she has said to me lately...
She was carrying around something that she had tucked partially in the side of her pants. After asking what it was, she patted it with pride and said, "It's a hundred bucks!!" Turns out it was an advertisement magnet, but did have money on it.
We've been asking her where her body parts and internal organs are. Kriss asked her where her brain was and she said "I don't know, it's lost."
She was watching a little animated icon on LJ. She asks me "What is that? A monkey or a little guy? Which ones??" Then proceeds to explain "He's yelling like he has bugs in his mouth". It was a domokun icon :O)
Oh she makes chocolate pies now. Actually, it's just empty stackable tupperware, but she has them all stacked up in her baby stroller. She pushes it around and tries to sell these invisible chocolate pies to Kriss and I. The price of these delicacies.... $100 bucks.

Smart girl...
I had Alie work on a preschool workbook today and she did surprisingly well. It is made for a 4 year old, but I thought I might see if she could do some of the work sheets. She did so well that we completed half the book! I'm so proud of her!! I really didn't think she would understand half of the stuff. She even knew what was greater and lesser. She started loosing interest when we got to the "compare the first sounds" section. Example: out of Monkey, Tree, Mouse, which two have the same sound? She wasn't quite getting it.
She told me today that she wants to go to school to be with friends, BUT she is not potty trained. We've tried everything in the book, every single method in existence. She is just too laid back and stubborn to want to train. Her best friend trained right after turning 2. Alie could care less. She will go when her friend says she has to go, but she doesn't see this friend nearly enough to get trained. The good news is... I am going to watch said friend for a week or two come next month, so Alie may become trained! I really hope she will follow her friends example and just do it. Al really is a brilliant girl and knows how to go in the potty, she currently just doesn't care enough. Guess it's not in her priorities ;) I'm not really worried about it though, I know kids who didn't train until they were 4! I mean they still wore diapers. They were just WAY too stubborn lol!! It's funny how someone so small can have so much control over mom and dad (that m&d can't really do anything about).

What did she say?
Alie was reading the "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" book to me today. Her version of reading it is asking me what it is, and I say I dunno. Then she tells me "it's a blue horse" or whatever. When we got to the teacher page, I said "I dunno" and she kept saying this phrase over and over, and it was the same thing every time. I couldn't understand her though. So I said "its a teacher" and she said "no, its a .....". I still couldnt understand her.
So after the 5th time of her reading it to me, when we got to the teacher page, I FINALLY understood what she was calling the lady. She told me "It's a Peggy Hill!" OMG! I died laughing!! This maybe only funny to me, but I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. She just kept telling me "It's a Peggy Hill!!" If you go look at the book, she is right, it does resemble Peggy.
I'll try to post picture comparisons as soon as my dang camera works :)

I saw your message Tanya! We miss you too! Alie has asked me a few times if we could go see Tanya. Can't wait till you get to come back and visit us. Hope work is treating you nice and I bet you're glad to be back in the Ukraine.
