Alie took her first step! It was actually done on Dec. 6. She stepped from Mommy to Daddy, so neither one of us missed it. I also have some new pictures of Alie! Click on each picture to see the whole album.

Here are her halloween pictures, sorry they are so late!

Alison has a new tooth in the front and she just cut one of her molars today. I can tell you this, she hasn't been a very happy kid the last day or two. I have been keeping her on tylenol, but it still doesn't work as well as I would like. She was incredibly cranky all day today. Poor girl!

Oh, and Alie has a new best friend! Katelynn is a 17 month old little girl that I have been watching for about 3 weeks now. She is a total sweetheart and she and Alie get along wonderfully. They have so much fun together that they cry at the end of the day when Katelynn leaves. Katelynn calls Alie GeeGee (G in gorilla sound). It is so cute, weird that she got that out of "Alie". I will get some pictures of Katelynn and Alie posted soon. I also have Alie's halloween pics that I still need to post. She was a big fat pumpkin.

I'll post Alie's birthday party pics today (Sunday). I know I have been putting it off. I have a lot of them, so I've been lazy about it.

Tuesday, October 21, 2003

Well, Alie's party went great...I just have to get the pics posted for you! I'll tell all about it once I can get them uploaded.

Thursday, October 16, 2003

Today (10.15.03) is Alison's first birthday. We went to visit the doctor for her one year check up. She got 2 shots, but hardly even cried. We also went to my old work place and visited with old friends as well as invite most of them to her party. We are having her party on Saturday. I am so anxious to see how she will react to the whole thing. I hope she loves the whole day. It will be her first time to eat cake! I bet she will love it!

I took some pictures of her today, to document her special day. I am also including one of her at 6 mo. to get a comparison on how much she has grown. If you click on the picture, it will take to you an album of more pictures.

Oh, I forgot to post earlier this week about some of Alie's "first"... Sunday she got to ride in her big girl carseat facing foward. I think she really liked this, because she could see what was going on around her. She could also see me in the mirror and thought that was really great. She also went to the nursery at church for the first time. I thought she would have some detachment issues, ok, maybe I was hoping more than anything. :) She did really well though, not crying once. I think she was so focused on all the new things around her, that she didn't even realize mommy wasn't there. I am so very proud of her. I just love my little pumpkin head to pieces!!!

Alie finally got another tooth. She now has a total of 7. It broke through a few days ago, but you couldn't really see it till now. It is on the bottom row, next to the middle 2.

She is also starting to get more comfortable standing alone. It is funny, because she won't attempt to take steps, just stands there, then sits down.

She won't say any words yet even though we work with her on it every day. I know she isn't slow, but I think her brain is hard at work developing other areas. She is amazing at her electronics comprehension. She can work the phone, her stereo, tv, and the keyboard. It can be annoying at times, but it is fun to watch her hard at work.

She still is just a wonderful baby. So patient, calm, loving, and affectionate. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I am sorry I haven't written in a long while or posted any new pictures. I don't have batteries for my dig. camera, so I haven't been taking pictures. Alison's progression is still about the same. She can't speak any words yet, but she can eat like a toddler. She is now eating big kid food, and cleaning our plates for us. Funny thing is, she is still not able to feed herself very well. We are practicing letting her feed herself, but most of her food ends up in her lap. Oh well. I am proud of her though. She ate rasins for the first time today. She loved them, and even threw a fit when I put them away. Oh, I almost forgot, Alison now has a total of 6 teeth. Four on the top and two on the bottom.

Another bit of news... I am a stay home mom now. This really makes life easier. I will be able to help Alison in her progression much more now. Hopefully I can make a genius out of her, muaahaha!

Yesterday Alison clapped for the first time. She was watching her "Hello Kitty" movies and she gets so excited when they come on. Even though she can't sing, I know she recognizes each song. Well, she was really into the music and started clapping to it. It was so cute!!! I got all excited because she was clapping, so I started laughing. This made her start laughing and clapping even more. Gosh she is just too darn cute for words.

Alison is now 9 mo. and has 4 teeth. She really likes to use them too. She is now eating some solid, big people foods. She is also pulling herself up to a stand. She will stand there, with both feet on top of each other. She is a bit pigeon-toed. It is too cute! She will also lift one leg up high to practice standing on one foot at a time. She will even walk along the coffee table, or if you are sitting close, she will let go and turn around toward you as if she is going to walk. She ends up free falling, but luckly, I always catch her. She is going to be walking sooner than Kriss would like. We will have one nervous Daddy! He always gets freaked out about her falling and such. Poor baby will probably have Daddy hovering around all her life, hehe.

Monday, June 23, 2003

Kriss got a new computer program, so he has been taping Alison with the video camera more now. It allows you to make the videos right on your computer and store them there. Thing is, each video is HUGE! So big, that it is the size of a program or two. There is no way that we can email them to people or even display them here. The site would never pull up, so, unfortunatly, I can't host them for ya.

She is crawling around much more now. And of course, getting bigger and bigger everytime I look at her. I can't believe that she is 8 months now. Seems just like yesterday she was born. I don't know how parents do this. I almost break down each month, realizing, I will never see that month of her life again. Makes me cherish each day with her and her progress so much more.

Alie cut her second tooth on Wednesday. You can't see it, but you can feel it. Now she won't look so funny with her one tooth.

Saturday, June 14, 2003

Alison can now almost crawl like a pro. She is getting better and better at it everyday. She also has several new tricks that she has added in the last few weeks. About 3 weeks ago, she learned how to wave. At first we really didn't think she was really waving, but she kept doing it so much when she would see someone, that we finally figured she knew what she was doing. Just today she figured out how to make farting noises on her arm. Not that she knows it is farting noises, but she does like the noise non the less. She will entertain herself by taking her arm and making the "ba ba ba" sound really fast or just blow on her arm to get the "Ptttthhhh" sound. She now also shakes her head like saying "no". This is another new trick she learned today. She doesn't realize that she is saying no yet, but likes the new rhymthmic movement that she makes. She was so hyper today, we could hardly get her to calm down to go to bed.

Click on the picture above to see more! We got Alison a baby pool today. She usually screams all through her bathtime, so we figured it would be the same. We filled the pool up with warm water and sat her in it. She seemed to really enjoy herself and the water. She even got really brave to stick her face in the water and blow bubbles and even drink the water. She only got choked up twice. I was so amazed and delighted to see how smart my sweet baby really is.

Just some pics I took of Alie today. The first one shows how she gets up on her knees, but she doesn't crawl yet. Click thumbnail to see a bigger pic!

Alie Pics

Time to baby proof the house! Alie now gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth. She is able to scoot all over on the floor, mostly going backwards. She is pretty mobile without crawling.

Her first tooth is now about halfway through. She is working on getting the second one, next to her first tooth on the bottom. She chews on everything constantly and sometimes gets fussy. Poor girl. Thank goodness, she hasn't had any fever with it.

Alie Pics

Alie is getting more mobile everyday rolling around all over on the floor, as well as smarter. She can now hold her bottle almost all by herself. Also, May 1, I noticed that she had finally cut one of her bottom teeth! She is also able to sit up by herself, but I have to sit around her. She still falls over occasionally. I will try to post more photos of her on here tonight.

Alie Pics

Alie Pics

Look what my friend Cary made for me! At first I didn't recognize who it was in the pic, and then by second glance, I was cracking up! My baby looked so grown up, lol!

Tuesday, April 15, 2003

We went to the doctors today. Alison did very well and she has grown a lot since she went last. My favorite nurse was there today, she was so surprised to see Alie's progress. Alison only got 2 shots this time. She didn't cry at all for the first shot and the second one, she cried for maybe 2 seconds. She even smiled at the nurse afterward. I think it definitely made the nurse feel better. I was so proud of her that she did so well. I think I must have the greatest baby in the world!
Alie officially throws fits now. She will scream and kick her legs and it just cracks me up. I know it isn't supposed to, but she looks so funny. She is also more vocal now. She will scream on the top of her lungs, but not in a mad way. She just likes the sound of her voice. Tomorrow we go see the doctor and that means more shots! Ouch! I will let you know her new measurements.

Sunday, April 6, 2003

Guess what... She has new tricks now! When she plays in her "baby cadillac", she now bounces up and down and plays with all the toys. She chews on some of the different toys on it, which is a new thing. She will also sing, it is more like screeching and squeals, but it is so cute! Also, now when I go get her out of bed in the morning, she is already on her tummy, she flips around like crazy. She can reach the mobile in her bed, so I think it is time to lower the matress down a notch. She is growing so fast, I can't believe it! She is still wearing some of her 3-6 months clothes, but also fits alot of her 6-12 very well. She is just in the middle of sizes. She is wearing the next size in diapers now too! I just bought her first box of size 3 yesterday. My baby won't be a baby in a blink of an eye. I wish the first year of children actually lasted 5 years. That way you could enjoy the babyhood, not rush through it!

Friday, April 4, 2003

Alison now rolles around on the floor like crazy. She won't sit still. I have some more pictures of her posted Here.

Saturday, March 29, 2003

Today Alie ate a whole jar of carrots! I am so proud of her! She really loves them. She was in a good mood for pretty much the whole day. She did a lot of playing while mommy did laundry. She is really starting to get the hang of entertaining herself, which is a good thing. Oh, one thing I noticed today, she has a thing for music. I was watching the tv, she was playing in her baby "cadillac" as grandpa calls it, and she was having a good 'ol time. The show was "The Caroline Rhea Show" well, Alie wasn't interested. One of the guests on the show though, and 11 year old boy, was there to play his violin. As soon as he started playing, Alison whipped around to look at the tv. She didn't take her eyes off the screen till he was done. When he finished, she looked at me with a huge grin as to say "Wow, that was amazing!" I thought her intrest in the music was amazing. I have really tried to make music apart of her life. I want her to hear music and it to be a comfort to her. I want her to maybe one day use music as an outlet, a way to express herself. I put her to sleep every night listening to as much classical music as I could get in her stereo. She listens to the same 5 CDs every night, with almost every good classical song/composure there is. I know that music is mostly to stimulate a baby's brain, but I also would also like her to dream it, to hear it so often, it becomes apart of her. No, I don't expect her to be some great musician or anything. I just want her to have healthy outlets, something she has known from birth. I want her to hear one of those songs and feel the warmth of my love. Sounds strange, I know. I guess I just want what every parent wants, happy, healthy, loving children. I am sure I won't be let down!

Wednesday, March 26, 2003

Alison ate her first vegtable today. I am starting her out on carrots. The first bite, she made faces, but decided she liked them. She ate half the jar, which is a ton for her. I can't believe how well she takes to different foods. I took some more pictures of her, but my time is so lacking, it may be a while before I get them up.

Friday, March 21, 2003

Alie and I went to visit Poppa today at his office. We borrowed his digital camera to get some new pics of Alie. I took about 100. I tried to email them to myself, but for some reason, it didn't work, crappy IWon! I guess we will go tomorrow and try again. Alison was in such good spirits today, she hardly cried at all. She also really enjoys my grandpa. Every time he holds her, she falls asleep, I think it is because he is such a comfortable person.

Thursday, March 20, 2003

Yippie, Alie rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time yesterday (18th). I was video taping her at the time and she eventually did. I new she was getting more active and her arms and legs are getting so strong, so I sorta expected it. Her hair is growing in thick and getting longer. I would say it is about an inch long. She has also discovered her feet, she started grabbing them for the first time about march 10th. She also started this spitting thing. She acutally will blow rasberries at you when she is mad. It just cracks me up. I don't think she realizes what she is doing, just making another noise. So cute!

This is going to be the new home for "Bloggin' about Alison". Why you ask? Well, the other website is much harder to update. I have to enter the entries into the HTML text, which means lots of extra work. Here I just visit Blogger, type an entry, and go. Since Alison is getting so much more active, I have to be as well. It will take a while to get it all transfered over, so please bear with me. I will let you know when it is all completely finished!!!
